Swansea Community Workshop is a non-profit charity with the goal of creating a safe and creative space for anyone and everyone regardless of skill level, experience or qualifications.
Due to the non-profit nature of the charity, we rely on government funding and generous donations from the public in order to keep the charity up and running and regularly hold tutor classes, where those interested can book on to attend the classes and learn various new skills from the tutors, from beginner to basic to advanced skills.

Lotto Abertawe is an exciting weekly lottery that raises money for good causes in Swansea. All good causes supported by the lottery will benefit Swansea and its residents.
Play the lottery, support Swansea – it’s that simple!
Tickets for the lottery cost just £1 a week. Each ticket has a 1 in 50 chance to win a prize each week, with a top prize of £25,000! There’s a better chance of winning the jackpot than the National Lottery or the Health Lottery.
Each ticket has six numbers and each number is between 0 and 9. There will be a draw every Saturday night when a six digit winning combination will be picked. Prizes will be given to players with tickets that match the first or last 2 to 6 numbers from the winning combination. Match all six and you win the jackpot!
About our cause
Swansea Community Workshops was founded in April 2017 for the sole purpose of bringing accessible craft practices to the community of Swansea with a particular focus on engaging those from disadvantaged backgrounds. The main aim is to reach adults, young people and children who are socially isolated and encourage wellbeing in the community through the activities we run at the charity. Alongside this, an important role of Swansea Community Workshops is to promote and support the continued learning of craft skills and ensuring these precious understandings of art and craft are accessible to all and secured in the generations to come.

How the lottery works
£1 per ticket – That’s right, unlike many other lotteries, our lottery tickets are only £1 per week.
Help us do more – For every ticket you play 78.2% goes to good causes and prizes.

FAQ
Q: What do you do with the money I donate?
A: Swansea Community Workshops will take this donation and put it towards the running of the charity, this may include but not limited to; buying supplies tutors require for their tutor run classes, helping to pay the wages of our dedicated staff, buying supplies to restock the various facilities such as food or cleaning products, paying for any necessary repairs or maintenance any machines or equipment need in order to run smoothly etc.
Q: Can I donate items to the charity?
A: Yes, you can. Swansea Community Workshops has graciously accepted various items in the past from, large machines to hand tools to raw materials such as wood and glass. We do however reserve our right to refuse any items offered that we feel we can’t best utilize here at the charity.
We also request that people don’t bring us heavily worn or broken items with the mindset that we can just fix it up and then use it, Swansea Community Workshops is not a repair shop nor do we have infinite money to spend on repairing stuff and so we request people interested in making a physical donation to the charity do so with items that are still in a functional/usable condition that they themselves no longer need.
As stated prior, we very much appreciate anybody’s effort to support the charity, with that said we have the right to refuse anything we deem not useful to the charity, once again we are not a repair shop nor are we a dumping ground for people to throw anything you don’t want away to.
If you are interested in making a physical donation, please email office@sccw.org.uk ahead of time, letting us know what it is you’d like to donate to the charity and we’ll get back to you within a few days letting you know if we’d be willing to accept it or not otherwise you might waste a trip coming down to us so please email ahead of time and give us a few days to respond to your email.
