Silk Painting

A schedule of silk painting courses are being held at Swansea Community Workshops.

During the workshops :

Participants will be encouraged to create simple designs with inspiration from their own imagination, the natural world, books, templates and or the internet.

These designs will then be transferred to silk using silk painting techniques.

Once the piece is fixed & dried, it can then be suspended and hung in a window to catch the sunlight.

The classes run for 4 weeks with 4 separate projects 

1) Silk mandala/suncatcher

2) Silk painted Illuminated initial

3) Silk painted cushion

4) Silk painted scarf
