The Board of Trustees at Swansea Community Workshops are actively looking to recruit new members to our Board. We are particularly interested in diversifying our Board and are encouraging interest from women, non-binary, and other gender identities, as well as ethnically diverse backgrounds and those with experience in the craft sector.

The main activity at Swansea Community Workshops (SCW) is to provide facilities for hobbies, recreation, and leisure time occupation in a socially interactive and practical environment, where there are skills sharing, learning of new skills, and helping community-based projects. As we are a charity, these facilities are for public benefit, specifically targeting socially excluded members of the local community in Swansea.

We currently have the below list of Trustee vacancies available. Please click on a vacancy to view the full Role Description.

We are keen to receive applications from people with experience or knowledge in one or more of the following areas:

  • Charity law and governance
  • Charity fundraising
  • Financial management
  • Sector experience and skills, such as personal or professional level experience in woodwork, glass, sewing, pottery, art, media, or more.
